0-35psi UMA MANIFOLD PRESS

Reference: 51304

The manifold pressure gauge indicates the pressure of air at carburettor inlet.

With the engine off it shows barometric air pressure. With the engine running this pressure is always lower than the atmospheric pressure (non-turbo engine). Manifold Pressure is directly related to the power available in the engine: If it is much less than atmospheric pressure we have much power available, if it approaches atmospheric pressure we have little power available.

Traditionally Manifold Pressure indicators are calibrated in inches of mercury (in Hg). The normal barometric pressure is 29.92 in Hg, equivalent to 1013mb.

In the Rotax 912 is connected to the yellow cap is in the metal tube that connects the 2 carbs.
