What is SPOT?

SPOT is a small electronic device containing a GPS receiver and a satellite transmitter to the Iridium network. Has global coverage.

How does SPOT work?

SPOT has 5 functions:

S.O.S function:

If we click S.O.S. our SPOT transmits a request signal to the receiving facility and Emergency Manager SPOT (active 24h/365 days) with our position. Immediately the management center is in contact with local emergency services in the area where the request has to come to our rescue.

HELP Function:

If we click on Help our SPOT transmits a request signal Aid, which arrive via SMS or e-mail to those previously designated (friends, family, coworkers ...)

OK Function:

If you press the OK button our SPOT transmits a signal that all is well that arrive via SMS or e-mail to those previously designated.

MESSAGE Function:

If we click our SPOT MESSAGE transmits a signal with a text message pre-recorded to arrive via SMS or e-mail to those previously designated.

TRACK Function:

If we click our SPOT TRACK transmits a signal every 10 minutes with our position, which can be viewed on the SPOT on Google Maps application. (Authorized viewers only)

How much does SPOT cost?

The SPOT prices indicated on this page, but to use SPOT you should  purchase a subscription to the desired services. Without subscription, the device is not working.
